A New Angel Fund for Sportstech

COREangels SportsTech is led by Juan Moreno and Maurizio Calcopietro, two experienced angel investors who are completing the COREangels Angel Fund Launchpad program. With their combined international business expertise, investment experience, and passion for sports, they are now building a pan-European group of angels to back early-stage sportstech founders.

Meet the Fund Leaders

  • Juan Moreno – Former CEO and executive in multinational firms, COREangels Barcelona partner, investor and mentor in deep tech, fintech, and retail. Strategy professor and passionate sportsman with international experience across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

  • Maurizio Calcopietro – Managing Partner at COREangels Atlantic, former IT Director at Ferrero do Brasil with 19 years in leadership. Angel investor and mentor of 11+ startups in Brazil and Portugal, with a lifelong passion for padel and tennis.
