The Women of COREangels

On a recent International Women's Day, as the world paused to celebrate the women around the world, COREangels took center stage to honor the extraordinary women at COREangels community. From the boardrooms of London to the tech hubs of Lisbon, these pioneering women have played impressive and important roles in the innovation and startups world.

Women of COREangels Community

Leading the charge is CEO Cintia Mano, whose leadership has driven COREangels to growth and success. With a passion for entrepreneurship, Mano is not just a CEO but also a mentor, guiding founders of startups and angel investors on their journey to success.

Our female participation has been increasing and we are glad to see some of our leaders, male or female, working on it. Currently, in our community around 13% of our founders; 15% of our angels and 9% of our angel fund leaders are women. - Cintia Mano

Among COREangels' fund leaders is Maha Mandour, whose expertise in emerging markets has made her a sought-after advisor and investor. With a keen eye for innovation in the Middle East and Africa and a knack for spotting promising startups, Mandour is a driving force behind COREangels MEA' success.
And then there's Andrea Piazza, of COREangels Femtech+, an initiative aimed at empowering women to become more active participants in the startup ecosystem. With a background in technology and a passion for female empowerment, Piazza is leading the charge to level the playing field for women in startup investing.
Eugenia Dunaeva, angel investor at COREangels Climate, is the Founder and Managing Director of Ultralite Consulting, with experience in creating, scaling and optimising business opportunities.
Isabel Faria, angel investor at COREangels Lisbon, a woman driven by a deep passion for the food industry, a commitment to meaningful contributions, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. With years of experience in the food industry under her belt, Faria's journey has been marked by resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the world. She has been part of the Angel Fund Launchpad program towards supporting Foodtech startups in Europe.
But the women of COREangels aren't just investors—they're also founders in their own right. Take Priyanka Srinivas, whose startup, Live Green Co is accelerating the world's transition to healthy & sustainable food.
Or consider Isabel Portero, whose startup Biohope, is working on the development of diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for organ transplantation.
And then there's Begoña Entrena Lopez, whose e-mobility startup, mimoTo, is optimizing private parking for motorcycles across Spain and Europe.
These are just a few of the remarkable women who make up the COREangels community—a community that is not just breaking barriers but also building bridges and forging connections. With each new investment, each new partnership, and each new success story, the women of COREangels are proving that the future of startup investing can have more women.
