
COREangels Algarve, a group of angel investors bringing smart capital and collective intelligence to the Algarve startup ecosystem, and we are happy and proud to shout out loudly: we signed a SAFE with expressTEC, a pioneering biotech startup from the University of Algarve working on the next-generation RNA companion diagnostics for accurate, fast and simple cancer targeted treatment decisions. The SAFE was signed on September 11th, and is the first official deal of recently founded COREangels Algarve fund.

Founded in 2022 by Ana Teresa Maia and Joana Xavier, PhD researchers with a combined experience of over 35 years in the field of cancer, expressTEC is dedicated to the development of complementary in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) genetic tests, with the aim of increase the accuracy and effectiveness of targeted treatments in oncology.
