Lisbon is preparing for something special on November 9, 2025 — Tech Run Lisbon returns! An event where tech, community, movement, and connection all come together along the Tagus River. At COREangels, we believe innovation isn’t just about ideas and capital, but also about shared energy, physical endurance, and the serendipity of meeting people face-to-face. That’s why we’re excited to participate in Tech Run Lisbon 2025.
What is Tech Run Lisbon
Tech Run Lisbon isn’t your typical race. It’s a run through Lisbon’s innovation district — from the Unicorn Factory Lisboa (Beato Innovation District) to Parque das Nações — set against the backdrop of Portugal’s thriving startup ecosystem.
- Distances: 5K or 10K — you pick your pace.
- Start & Finish: Unicorn Factory Lisboa.
- Time: 10:00 AM local time.
- Extras: Race bib with RFID timing, a technical running T-shirt, and a finisher medal.
After the run, participants gather for networking, music, food, and conversation — because at its heart, Tech Run is as much about community-building as it is about stretching your legs.
Why COREangels Supports Tech Run
At COREangels, we see tremendous value in events like Tech Run — not only for founders, angels, and tech folks to get their steps in, but for them to connect in informal, energised settings. Here are a few reasons this event aligns with our mission:
- Shared energy leads to connection
Running side by side with fellow innovation agents — investors, founders, makers — naturally opens up conversations that might never happen in formal meeting rooms. - Health & performance matter
Innovation often comes with long hours, high stress, and intense deadlines. Events that promote health, movement, and well-being help build resilient founders and teams. - Ecosystem visibility
Walking the streets of Lisbon’s innovation district during Tech Run reminds us of the ground-level reality of this ecosystem: shared spaces, co-working labs, startup offices, café meetups. It strengthens identity. - Beyond borders
Lisbon is one node in COREangels’ international vision. Supporting events like this helps us stay present, build relationships locally, and spot opportunities in the Portuguese tech scene.
What to Expect & How to Prepare
If you're joining us (or thinking of it), here are a few tips to get the most out of Tech Run Lisbon:
- Choose your distance: Whether you're more comfortable with 5K or want the extra stretch of a 10K, pick what challenges you without pushing into injury.
- Join the training sessions: adidas Runners Lisboa is offering training sessions in advance (dates include September 17; October 2, 16, 30) at Praça in Beato Innovation District. Great chance to train, warm up, and meet people ahead of race day.
Pick up your kit: The race kit (bib, shirt, etc.) is picked up the day before at the Beato Innovation District – plan accordingly. - Network post-run: The “After Run Happy Hour” at Praça should not be missed. Bring business cards, open ears, and a mindset for connection.
COREangels Community Discount
As part of our mission to build bridges between tech, founders, and investors, COREangels is happy to offer members (and friends) a special discount code for Tech Run Lisbon:

We hope this makes it easier for more of our community to join in, run together, and build connection.
What Happens at Tech Run Lisbon — The Bigger Picture
- Tech Run is organized by iOn live, in collaboration with 351 Startup Association and Unicorn Factory Lisboa, and is part of Portugal Tech Week — the country’s flagship celebration of tech, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- The route weaves through Lisbon’s innovation landscape, giving runners both views of the city and glimpses of the labs, studios, coworking spaces, and startup offices that power its tech economy.
Participation doesn’t require you to be a pro runner — it’s about stepping in, getting involved, meeting others, and being part of something larger than any single company or idea.
Why You Should Join
If you’re part of COREangels (or thinking of joining), this event is for you if you:
- Want to meet founders or fellow angels in an informal setting.
- Believe in holistic performance (health, mindset, community) as part of success.
- Enjoy Lisbon, walks by the Tagus, and scenic routes.
- Are curious about what’s happening locally — maybe there’s a founder you’ll bump into who could become your next investment.
Running together is symbolic — it implies momentum, forward movement, and endurance. Qualities every startup (and every investor) needs.
